What does your working week look like?
That differs greatly. Sometimes I spend a week at the Boxtel office to prepare or conduct an audit. A few times a month, I visit a Vion site in the Netherlands, Germany or elsewhere. These visits usually last about three days, during which we follow a work plan to hold interviews, perform desk research and analyses to get a good impression of how the organisation and processes work. We mainly analyse the critical points. Our recommendations are almost always acted on.
What is Vion like as an employer?
Vion is an excellent employer and there is a great atmosphere in the company. The corporate culture is open and collegial. I have a lot of freedom and responsibility, which is very motivating. The mentality at Vion is down-to-earth, accessible and open. Transparency is paramount, which I find very important and which is also very important for the business. Being open about what is going on in your organisation requires courage. But is also ensures a sense of trust and commitment to improvement.
